The Tank Turned Two

Yesterday E turned two! She is, by far, one of the very best people I have ever known. It’s hard to believe that a year ago she had just learned to walk and now she can run and jump and climb (and climb and climb and climb). Two meager years ago, she cooed quietly in my arms. Her tiny cries were so gentle. Now at two, she she is the loudest person I know. She’s picking up words and signs faster now and even got down Baby and Jack (Skellington) yesterday. Watching her grow is one of the greatest joys in my life. Every growth spurt leans her, now, colt-like legs out, extends her reach to another shelf full of things we have to move, smoothing her chubby cheeks. Her curls are now long enough (mostly on top) to capture in a tiny elastic. Her hazel eyes are slightly darker but still a match to mine. Her adorable tank belly is trimming slightly. She is two! Devious smiles, evil laughs, no-no-no’s and all!
