Once again, resolution’s in the air. A new year, a fresh start. I have a lot of little things on my list. The usual stuff, like drink a full bottle of water a day, more green smoothies, workout, eat less junk. This year, though, I’m trying to think of more detailed resolutions. What do I really want to do, be, and how can I get there.
So here are a few from the top of my list:
Drink a bottle of water everyday! (I realize that this seems pretty easy, but I am terrible at staying hydrated! Not only is it good for me, but it sets a good example for O, who likes to chose his drinks these days. Also, breast feeding is dehydrating!)
Stop paying shipping/handling. I love shopping online! You can find great deals, and great choices that you might not be able to find in your city. And if you think shopping with two toddlers and no car was an option while my husband was away at Basic, you are crazy! I will also make more of an effort to shop Canadian. There are loads of great Canadian sites and companies.
No more yelling! I’m pretty patient with the kids, but I find myself yelling more often than I’d like. Not full out angry screaming or anything, just loud. They get loud, and then I get loud, and then they get louder. That’s not the kind of example I want to set for them. I want them to learn how to handle their frustration and encourage them to be calm and quiet (when possible;)
Stay organized. I love getting organized, but I’m not great at staying organized! We have a whole lot going on this year, including homeschooling right around the corner. I can’t afford to be disorganized.
Now I’ll be honest. Between feeling sick, wanting to rip out my own throat, napping, and what felt like non-stop nursing G today, I’ve not accomplished anything from my list. I suppose that’s not a great start, but that’s okay. Somewhere on my list ‘not over extending myself’ is written in bold! I am the master of biting off more than I should chew. Not this year. This year, I will be better. This year, will be great!
Happy New Year to all! May it be full of experiences, and adventures.
