Why is it that days can seem so long, but years so, very, very short? My baby is a big boy now. He’s so smart, and funny, and tall! I’m never prepared for his birthdays. So many feels. I’m so blessed to have such a wonderful person in my life. Everyday he gets bigger and brighter. Speech clearing, grammar developing, imagination increasing! These days, he’s all about pretend play. He’s started doing funny voices while playing with his cars. It’s hilarious! Everyday he learns new things, and it blows my mind. It seems like only yesterday, he was getting up on his knees and trying to crawl. Now he’s not even a toddler anymore. He’s a full blown CHILD!

Who is The Monster? His name is actually Oliver Fenix, Ollie to us, O to you! Most days he’s the sweetest son and big brother. He’s full of kisses, hugs, thank-you’s, good manners. Some days he’s 4 going on 14 (but, like, tv 14. Where they are total brats!)! When his true Monster shows. He says “NO, MOMMY! I WANT TO BREAK MY NECK!” after being told not to dive off the couch! He’s all about sighing really loud right now. How do you refrain from laughing at that?

B’s side of the family came down for his birthday party. Camping themed. So it was a really fun/long weekend. I spent yesterday cleaning, so it’s really catching up with me today! (Who thinks baby G can handle 2 cups of coffee today?) I am so grateful to them for trekking out here for him. He’s a party animal, but he’s been pretty secluded here. (It will be much better once it warms up and we can go on more adventures!) I think he had a really great time.
